Texans-Bears to Light Up Preseason Opener?

Preseason football is here, and the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears will kick off the NFL's exhibition slate in the 2024 NFL Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.

While the outcome of the game is far from certain, there is one thing that seems likely: points will be scored.

Both the Texans and Bears have offenses that are expected to be improved in 2024. The Texans have added quarterback Davis Mills and wide receiver Brandin Cooks, while the Bears have brought in quarterback Justin Fields and wide receiver Chase Claypool.

With so much firepower on both sides of the ball, it's hard to imagine this game being a defensive struggle. The over/under for the game is set at 48.5 points, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the two teams combine for more than that.

Of course, the Hall of Fame Game is also about more than just the football. It's a chance for fans to see some of the greatest players in NFL history, and it's a chance for the Hall of Fame to celebrate its newest inductees.
